The Van Oord 'Bravenes' vessel was launched on 14 December 2016 at Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co. The vessel is designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions B.V., and carries the distinct X-BOW hull line design. The development and integration of both the mission equipment and vessel design was done by Ulstein together with Van Oord.

Aptly dubbed Under, Inhabitat reports that the establishment will provide viewers with a panoramic view of the seabed. Diners will also be able eat locally procured seafood while taking in the view of underwater life. The X-STERN on the SOV vessel for BS Offshore tested in real-life during Ulstein Verft sea trial, June 2016. The X-STERN shares much of the same characteristics as the proven and patented X-BOW bow design: The vessel will experience no bow or stern impact in terms of slamming, as the acceleration levels are lower. Also, vibration levels will be lower and the sustained speed is higher.

CAD Annimation of a Destec G4SB Single Bolt Subsea Clamp Connector The Destec GSB Single Bolt Clampset is a purpose designed unit for operations where a conventional four bolt G-RANGE Clampset would be impractical. The GSB Clampsets are supplied with a mounting plate which can if required accommodate guidance / pull-in systems for ease of alignment and provision for stab connectors for electrical and hydraulic circuits. Standard G-Range type hubs with the metal to metal Seal Ring can be used, or the customers own sealing arrangement can be employed.
